Hi all,
My name is Andrew Rawlins, and I have been on the Maryland Farms YMCA racquetball staff since 2003. I am in charge of coordinating the Challenge Court on Saturdays from 8:30 - 10:30 am. We have participants of all levels, so come on out and I'll find some competition for you!
Like many of you, I have participated in a wide variety of fitness-related activities, and I have not yet found one that offers more than racquetball. Racquetball requires very little skill to get started, is great exercise, and most important of all requires very little discipline or motivation because it's FUN!
I come to the Maryland Farms Y having experience in nearly all aspects of this great sport. As a player, I've been competing in tournaments for almost twenty years. I am currently the state Open champ, having won the Open division at this year's State Singles tournament. I've also been ranked #1 in the state in the 35+ age division since ageing into that category in 2004. I've been an AmPRO certified instructor for over fifteen years, and I have served as club pro, directed tournaments, and coordinated leagues at several facilities in Tennessee and Georgia.
